October 30, 2015, Poolesville, Maryland – The Best in Shelter contest is a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness about farm animals and their issues, and to show that they are intelligent, curious and friendly, deserving of as much affection and compassion as we show our companion animals like dogs and cats. Funds generously donated for this contest will help to provide feed, hay and veterinary care for the sanctuary’s many rescued residents.
